    Calne Archers have completed their Sportivate Project, this was a project aimed at bringing in more youngsters to the club and also the sport of archery.     Panathlon were in Swindon on June 30th, for a Primary aged multi-sport competition, with 48 children from 5 schools from Wiltshire and Gloucestershire competiting. Weightlifting, or Powerlifting, is a strength sport which involves lifting specified weights, and both males and females can take part.

In competitions, competitors are allowed three attempts on each lift, and the best attempt counts toward his competition total. If two or more lifters achieve the same total, the lifter that weighs the least ranks above the heavier opponent.
