This is no ordinary 5k.

5k (or just over 3 miles) is an achievable distance for all ages and abilities. You can take part however you like and choose to run, jog or walk your way around the course.
With more than 150 Race for Life 5k events across the UK, you won’t need to travel too far to find one.

Try a new challenge - 10K
10k (or just over 6 miles) may sound a little daunting but it is an achievable challenge for anyone with a bit of training.
If you’ve taken on one of our 5k events before then this is a great distance to try and push yourself further. This is beating cancer.

Pretty Muddy® isn’t like any other fundraising event.
It's a muddy obstacle course that women of any ability can climb over, crawl under, and charge through.
Choose from either 5k or 10k Pretty Muddy events. Whatever the distance. However dirty you get. THIS IS BEATING CANCER.
We're playing dirty to beat cancer... and so are the kids - Pretty Muddy Kids
Pretty Muddy Kids is back again for 2018, so children can join in the fight to beat cancer.
This is a muddy course with obstacles for the youngsters to climb over, crawl under, and charge through.
This is Race for Life Hike. THIS IS BEATING CANCER
Take on a new challenge at Race for Life Hike in 2018. These one-day, long distance walking events will be taking place at iconic locations up and down the country between May and September.
With training support and fundraising advice before the event, and plenty of snacks, cups of tea and even a glass of bubbly to keep you going on event day, this is a fantastic excuse to explore the great outdoors.
The Ridgeway Hike - Saturday 7 July 2018
Distance: 22.9 miles -
- A relatively easy Hike, with no great climbs
- Varied mix of terrain, and an attractive landscape
- Includes the White Horse and Avebury Stone Circle; a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Try a new challenge
A Half Marathon is 13.1 miles (or 21k), and is the perfect challenge for women who have previously taken part in one of our 10k events and want to push themselves one step further.
It may be a Half Marathon, but it’s still Race for Life, so we’ll be here every step of the way to support you in your fundraising and training. As with our other events, you can take part however you want - whether you run, jog or walk parts of the course, it’s up to you.
Kids today will beat cancer tomorrow
Join us by holding your school's very own Race for Life event in aid of Cancer Research UK.Race for Life Schools is totally free and easy to organise. It gives you the chance to hold your very own free Race for Life event with your pupils and staff.
You can choose a day that fits with your term calendar, both boys and girls can take part and you can choose a distance which suits the age and abilities of your pupils.We have fantastic support and tools which have all the information you need to run an event, in aid of Cancer Research UK, to help us fund the vital research needed to beat cancer.
Join forces against cancer
The best way to have fun and raise money is to get together as a group. Lead the way by becoming a Group Leader and get family and friends involved, and show everyone THIS IS BEATING CANCER.
As Group Leader, your job is to rally your team and get them to the start line. We even send you a special badge to show everyone you’re in charge.
How to create a group
- Find the event you want to take part in and select 'ENTER NOW'
- If you’re signing up friends or family, you will need their email address, home address and date of birth. You can register up to 10 adults at one time (including yourself)
- Select the fundraising target for either the whole group or per each group member
- After payment, select the option to ‘create a group’
- Choose a group name (this will go on your running number)
- That’s it – all you have to do now is start fundraising
How to join a group
- Sign up to the event you want
- Click on ‘Join a group’
- Use the group page URL that your group leader sent you to search for your group
- Select your group
- Click ‘Join this group’
