Early bird tickets for the 2018 BISFed World Boccia Championships at the Exhibition Centre Liverpool from the 12-18 August 2018 have officially gone on sale today.
The early ticket release aims to ensure that Boccia UK Friends and Family have the first opportunity to purchase tickets - at a discounted rate - so they can support Britain's athletes and watch the best boccia action from around the world.
A limited number of early bird tickets are now available and are expected to sell out quickly.
Adult ticket prices are available at an early bird offer of £12 (normal price £15) while concession tickets for those aged under 16 or over 65 are available at £7.50 (normal price £9). Carers are free of charge.
Paralympic gold medallist David Smith explains: "The World Championships is a crucial event in the calendar. We are battling for World titles but also ranking points ahead of the Tokyo Paralympics so we need to be at our best.
"For us as athletes, it's a huge coup that it is taking place on home turf. Support from a home crowd means everything - we felt it in London 2012 and it was spectacular - and I truly believe that knowing the crowd is willing you on really can lift your performance to another level.
"This is also the first ever international boccia event in the UK, outside of a Paralympics, that is ticketed. The Championship team are being really innovative in making it a brilliant, spectator-friendly event so if you have never seen international boccia before, here's your chance. We would really love to see as many of you - schools, clubs and individuals - out in force to support us."
