Inline Skater Hockey Club Swindon Flames... Youth Team become 2015 National Champions:

FullSizeRenderSwindon Flames.. Inline Skater Hockey Youth Team (U16) winners of the Bisha South League Title..undefeated all season.. go on to become  Bisha Youth Team National Championships 2015 & now qualify for the  European  Championships in 2016

After a fantastic season Swindon Flames Youth Team claim Great Britain’s  TOP accolade within Youth Team  Inline Skater Hockey world and this is for the first time in the clubs history.

The Bisha ( British Inline Skater Hockey Association) Youth Team  National Championships  consists of the top finishing Teams in the regional leagues, in a play off over 2 days of intense competition played at the Midlands Roller Arena in Lutterworth. Teams involved this year were, Swindon Flames, Oxford Tornadoes, Norton Cyclones, Crusader Saracens, Chippy Trixsters, Eastbourne Edge  & 2014 Champions -  Chelmsford Hylanders .

Swindon Flames Results during the first day of the tournament proved just how competitive the individual matches were by the close results... with Swindon growing stronger and bonding extremely well as a Team during the second day and played some absolutely fantastic Inline Hockey.

Swindon Flames  4 – 2 Eastbourne Edge

Day 2)

Swindon Flames  4 – 0  Chippy Trixsters

Swindon Flames 4 – 1 Oxford Tornadoes

Swindon Flames  6 – 0 Norton Cyclones

A large win over  Norton Cyclones in the league matches spurred Swindon on for the final , Norton were the only other Team undefeated until that point, and  were clearly saving themselves for the final against Swindon Flames  later in the day, resting several players during the game.

Swindon Flames 4 – 0 Norton Cyclones. 

Despite all the experience of being 3 times winners of the Youth Team National Championship,   Swindon Flames Youth Team grew in confidence and dominated an Excellent and well organised Norton Cyclones Team winning  4 – 0  in the Final to claim the Top Place in the Country and Title of Bisha Youth Team  National Champions 2015

Swindon Flames qualify for the European Youth Championships in 2016 normally played in Switzerland.  

Further praise was given to Swindon Flames by the head referee of the tournament ‘’ stating the players and team conducted themselves extremely well throughout all the matches and the tournament in general and were a credit to the club’’.

Swindon Flames received further awards with 2 Players making it into the ‘’ Nationals 2015 Dream Team’’   Reed Sayers (Tournament Highest goal scorer)  & Jade Kenealy Tournament best Net Minder.  Congratulations  to both players for these wonderful achievements.

Swindon Flames Skater Hockey Club currently train on a Saturday morning at the Hayden Leisure Centre from 10 am until 1 pm ( Pee Wee age 10 am, Youth age 11am  & Junior age 12pm) the club welcomes all interested players to come and be part of our League & National Championship Winning Club.
