Now the summer is officially here, England Netball are inviting women from the West Wiltshire area to get back on court and give netball a try at a brand new Back to Netball session being launch by Holt Netball Club on Tuesday evenings.
Back to Netball is a nationwide campaign run by England Netball, which since 2010 has helped to reintroduce over 60,000 women of all ages and abilities to the game through fun and friendly sessions. Run by passionate and enthusiastic coaches, sessions cover the basics of netball and often finish with a friendly game to allow players to put the skills they have learnt into practise.
Emily Harrison, Avon and Wiltshire Netball Development Officer from England Netball said “Finding a form of exercise which is affordable and fun can be difficult for women, when they often have so many other things on their to do lists that need prioritising. Back to Netball has proven a popular fit for many women across Wiltshire and this new session will provide women in the Holt, Trowbridge, Bradford-on-Avon, and surrounding areas an opportunity to be active, whilst having a giggle with likeminded ladies at the same time!”.
"We have mums and daughters, groups of friends, work colleagues and individuals attending our sessions, so absolutely everyone is welcome. The sessions are tailored to those who are there, so regardless of how much you know about netball or if you haven’t played since school – you’ll be an expert in no time!"
With the arrival of the first day of summer and the long evenings to enjoy, netball is a great way to get fit and stay active. The new session being hosted by Holt Netball Club is launching on 6th June at Holt Sports Court. The session will be running for 7 weeks on Tuesdays between 6:30-7:30pm, costing just £3.00 a session. There is no need to book, just grab your trainers and turn up.
