The club had two goals this year
- To build on making community partnerships with Schools and Local groups within the area
- To increase numbers & interest in our youth section
Wiltshire and Swindon Sport (WASP) have been able to hep us through their Sport England Funding project Sportivate. WASP have helped and supported the club to make the connections and achieve our goals. We’ve had challenges trying to find a correct time, venue, coach and trying to deliver the project within a budget. They have provided us with the funding needed, given us advice, knowledge, support and put us in contact with organisations and coaches.
WASP helped us source an ECB qualified coach for our sessions and helped us create a relationship with Active Trowbridge. Once we had a coach we then approached the local school to put a session together.
The club is due to move into the New Health & Wellbeing Centre (previously called Community Campus) in Melksham and has an exciting future ahead. We are so pleased with the new partnership, we will continue to build on this & continue to work with everyone.
We will continue working with both the school & Active Trowbridge on building our numbers. We will also look to extend our age range of youth section sessions, implementing new different session days & fun pre school cricket sessions with the help of Active Trowbridge.
